I was reading this and remembered a book I read years ago about writing coded messages. I remember one way that was amazingly simple but very very hard to crack. If I remember correctly, the longer your message, the easier to crack. This is because if you get a few words or letters correct you may be able to use that as a cipher. But short commands or statements are nearly impossible.

To decipher the code, the writer and the receiver must of course know what number stands for what letter...duh...

Here is one I just made. It is the name of a very powerful gang of photo thieves:

1,4,10 **** 7,11,6,19,20

I made it somewhat easy in that you know it is two words and each letter is separated by a comma. Technically to make it harder it would look like 141071161920.

Anyone want to take a stab at it? I'll post the cipher later.

edit...sorry...the spaces between the numbers didn't translate to my post...I replaced spaces with ****
