Greetings from Amsterdam! Sorry about the incorrect spelling of your town, Hajeka - glad you knew what I meant. :-)

Parked the luggage at the airport and went to Keukenhof today. My feet are about to fall off. Lovely place! Filled to the brim with tourists. Every one of them had a camera, be it a cell phone, a point and shoot, or a dSLR, and there were lots of dSLRs there. Every make and model. I enjoyed the visit and took a couple hundred pictures, most of which will never see the light of day, but I enjoy the process.

Not sure what I'll do tomorrow yet but I think at least part of the day will be spent sitting down to give my feet a break! Maybe a canal tour. Definitely a bit of watching people go by.

Great place! I was there way back in 2000.

Wish I could be there now, but my private jet is in the shop. :(

Me and my wife are a LOT more interested in a canal boat tour than a bicycle tour ... easier to take photos ...

We will investigate the boat tour options on the way in from the Tourist Information Office and have that info when we meet you to discuss.

me

We assume you have a laptop with you ... very cool ...

As for what Fiona and I want ... I really really wanna spend some time shooting some after dark reflection shots of Amsterdam along the canals ...

What do YOU want? ... The red light district is quite a circus ... little rented booths with glass fronts on the street about the size of a porta potty with prostitutes including transvestites in the daytime fluffing away and looking for customers to take em to their room accross the street for a fee. They put on quite a show for the tourists and photographers if you would like to document photographically that sort of situation. We are considering a short visit mid afternoon looking at photojournalism type shots.

Hey Greetmir - yes I have the laptop. :-) I did read in several places that taking pictures of the prostitutes is a good way to get your camera confiscated and/or smashed, so we'll have to see how things work there. I'm always up for street shooting - during the day, after dark - all good with me! Chance of rain on Tuesday so I'm thinking that'll be a good day for museums and such. I'm about to head out to the hotel (stayed in a different one last night) and will probably check out the canal cruises. There's one called the 100 points cruise that takes about an hour. You can also get a canal bus pass and ride the canals all day - hop on, hop off sort of thing.

Bummer about the jet, Ken. :-(
