Im debating what to get.

17-35mm f/2.8
80-200mm f/2.8
or something equivalent to the 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 that I have now.

Suggestions?

Money really isn't an issue, but obviously the more bang for my buck the better.

Have you looked at the Nikon 24-70 2.8

I use three lenses most of the time when shooting weddings, depending on the situation.

Nikon 70-200 f2.8 Indispensable with the VR in low light churches when you can't get close.
Tamron 28-75 f2.8 Good for all around shooting. (quality is great; couldn't justify the cost of the Nikon 24-70 f2.8 when the Tamron is just as good in my opinion)
Nikon 12-24 f4 (I would buy the 14-24 now; wasn't available when I bought the 12-24) Great for close quarters churches and receptions.

I also throw the fisheye 10.5 on occasionally. People seem to love the look of those photos.

fast lenses, as in 2.8 or better.

Depends a bit on your style, but you should probably have 15mm to 200 covered.

The 24-70 range is the most used - for all formals, portraiture, etc.
I find i use wide lenses (10-22 ona crop body, 16-35 on a FF) a LOT - getting ready, some ceremony shots, cake, boquet toss.
the 70-200 range is great for ceremony and some portraiture.

a 35 or 50 superfast prime can come in handy too.

A couple of weeks ago I would have said "definitely get the 17-55, you'll use it the most". But having just purchased the 24-70, I would never use another lens. It is outstanding!!! Its versatile, and if you upgrade to full frame at any stage you can't use the 17-55. The clarity and sharpness is absolutely superb, you can zoom right in on any photo taken with it and its all still unbelievably sharp.
As the others said, you'll also need 70-200
I completely agree with jazzmik, don't buy the 12-24 if you can afford the 14-24, its a much better lens.
With the noise of the D300 in a church if you're unable to use flash, keep the 50mm 1.8 in your kit, you'll need it.

You definitely do Gordie, I can't believe the difference, worth every cent. In fact I think I'll just sell everything thats not a D700 and 24-70, and buy 5 of each, lol

If its a hobby it's tough to justify the extra costs, but if you do it for money it's not hard. Charge for your work then miss one shot that better gear would have let you get and you feel like a real cheapskate (or worse)

Todays purchases:
Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8 Fisheye (not so much for weddings as for band photography, and some wedding use)
Nikkor 80-200m f/2.8

Gonna snag that 24-70 next.
