Yesterday's survey topic brought out a lot of interesting issues that people have. I wanted to ask a few questions of my own without hijacking the survey thread.

I have RTFM, and either missed it or it's not there, but I'd like to make sure about these things:

1. Self timer - any way to set a shorter interval than 10 seconds?
2. Someone posted a question about returning to default settings. I know there is a way to set *everything* back, but I was wondering if you could, for example, turn to P mode and easily set everythign back to the P Mode default without losing any settings in other modes or other custom settings. I have for the 3rd time now, thought I was back to normal, but forgot to change my exposure compensation back. I have been fortunate enough to realize it before I really screwed things up, but I'd like to know (other than learning the hard way) if there is a way to do this so that when that once in a lifetime UFO landing is in front of my camera I don't ruin it because yesterday I left things on +2EV...

Thanks in advance!

If you use the camera in mirror lock up mode the timer is shorter.
