For those of you not familiar with it, here is a movie that demonstrates it.

I understand and appreciate the concept, but there is so much more to that feature - I am just too dumb to come up with it by myself.

I just attended an Adobe web seminar, and one of the uses for the CAS feature presented was very clever indeed. Imagine a stitched panorama with the usual irregular bits around the edges. Instead of cropping them away or cloning them in, the presenter used the CAS to stretch existing information (in small segments at a time) to fill the frame. It looked great, and you end up with a bigger image.

What I am looking for from all YOU clever people is inspiration and concrete ideas on how to use CAS beyond the immediately obvious.

I learned about this a few months back. Really cool stuff. In the world of professional portraiture, this is a great way to create an 8x10 out of an image that was shot too tight and only worked for a 2x3 crop.

There was a bit of talk about this a few months ago... Interesting stuff. There's also another video linked to for the use of content aware scaling for GIMP in that other thread. Also in that thread is the SC stance that it is definitely illegal in Basic and most likely not legal in Advanced either.
