I'm trying to draw a simple curve on top of a photo in Photoshop, using the pen tool (bezier with anchors & pull handles). The damn thing keeps closing and filling in.
I just want to be able to draw a damn curve, choose its damn colour, and choose it's damn thickness. Is that so much to ask of the dumbarse program?
I use many vector programs, but damn, can't dumbarse raster Photoshop draw a flipping curve?
In the useless crack-head help files it says to hold down Ctrl and click to not fill in, but it's a crack-headed liar!
Plz help me before I toss this biotch out the shackalacking window!
Eff Me!

In the tool palette along the top, choose path instead of shape between the first two icons. Then you're good to go. The default setting makes a shape. The second icon draws a line.

I tried that too and it did make a line, but I couldn't get the Edit->Stroke to fill it in, it just put a box around the outside of the entire layer. Any tips? |

Choose the brush tool, select width. Set hardness and flow at maximum. Set your color with the color picker, foreground. Open the paths palette, make the path you want to stroke active. Click the open circle on the bottom of the paths palette (second from left) and you got it. This will stroke the path with the selected brush and color.
