There seems to be a few threads regarding what to shoot or what qualifies for a National Geographic shot.

For xmas I got 2 books - both being NG books funnily enough.

The biggest one is a huge heavy thing and entitled "Through the Lens - National Geographic Greatest Photographs"

I quote from the foreword which may help some.
"..in 1902 Society President Alexander Graham Bell and his managing editor, Gilbert H. Grosvenor, agreed that Grosvenor should travel to the Caribbean island of Martinique to document a devastating volcanic eruption. Bell encouraged him to bring back "details of living interest beautifully illustrated by photographs". A century after GrosvenorĂ¢€™s groundbreaking assignment, Bells admonition still sums up the goal of National Geographic.

Spellchecker wouldn't pick it up anyway.

I would need a GrammarChecker to pick up most typos, eg.
'Eye here their is know won coming to meat me this thyme.' would appear fine in a spellchecker! ;)
