I adjusted the colors in channel mixer and got this effect that I quite like. Your opinions?

I like the red sky, etc., which gives the picture a nice effect, but I don't like that the red "spilled over" to the bird. The bird also has a red tint to it. If you could isolate the bird, keeping it pure black or some other color that contrasts well with the red, it would be a lot better. IMHO. :)

I agree with ChrisW. If the bird was black, instead of tinted red, it would be a much more grabbing effect!

Otherwise a very nice shot! Really appealing to the eye, and the red seperates this from the legions of bird shots around!

i love this shot...and i really like that the red tint is on the bird, too. i think it really gives the feeling of the bird being enveloped in the surroundings....much more than if the bird were just silhouetted.

great work, danny...awesome pic!

Really, I think it would look good either way. If I were to do it though I would isolate the bird, but that's just me. Either way, it's a might fine shot!

Now make a blue one put them side by side and merge onto a different layer and shift it over a tiny bit. 3D :P

i agree with sher...the redness seeping into the figure of the bird really adds character to the photo. really nice red too...+favorite
