I just had a salesman talk me into a the LYra 40GB jukebox thing because they were out of Ipods//
Now,, that I have it home I'm concerned it's not going to work as a portable field harddrive.
ie I want to download from the cf card into it.
Any body else using this one,, or should I take it back and kick him in the shins?

| Are you actually using it for mp3s? Seems like the target market is a little different. I highly recommend the Tripper if you want portable storage for your images. See this related thread where I list quite a few portable storage devices. |

No, not for music,, just looking for the largest for the best money storage device to download my in camera images to

Found, and just ordered a 40gig for $279... cool
Less than the Lyra and made for it.. Now back to Bestbuy to kick the twit in the shins and get my money back...
