Anyone familiar with American Spirit magazine? It's published by the Daughters of the American Revolution. I have a couple shots that are published in the January/February '04 issue:

you didn't happen to try any of the Ground Hog Brew did you. my brother was there last year, said it was the worst beer he had ever had ;}
i've got a bottle of it on top of the kitchen cabinets, think i will take his word on the taste...

Groundhog Brew is actually Strab beer, brewed in St. Marys, PA. It's actually regarded as very good beer, but they don't use preservatives... so you don't want to let the stuff sit around very long before gulping it...

While I'm tooting my own horn (woot woot!)... I had a small shot in Highlights for Children magazine last month. I finally got around to scanning it. It was part of a pull-out poster in the middle of the magazine:

Hmmm... the way I see it, that furball owes me!
Quick funny Punxsutawney Phil story... two years ago I was taking a few shots of him for the web site, and he escaped from his handler while we were inside his little zoo. I found myself chasing the world's most famous groundhog out from behind a furnace with a broom stick. It didn't strike me as funny until later. |
