I've noticed something odd when looking at my images on DPC vs. in photoshop--the shots, when viewed in browser, seem to occupy more space on my monitor than they do when viewed at 'actual pixels' in photoshop, and the result is a slightly less sharp-seeming photo. Does DPC use some sort of upscaling feature on their images, or is this browser-related?

Just overlayed my image (using picasa) on the web site one and its exactly the same size, besides the 1 pixel black boarder that the site/browser(?) puts around the image. Maybe its an illusion, are you using a black background, surrounding a picture with black can give the illusion its smaller.

Tested with firefox and explorer

Oh and the less sharp part might be the jpeg compression that you wont see with the photoshop picture as a psd.

I've seen two reasons for this problem. I keep playing with my mouse which zooms everything in firefox and I had a moment of panic previously when my images looked blurry.

Another thing I've noticed is some monitors can stretch pictures like crazy. My uni monitors show all pictures in completely awkward dimensions and thus blurred.

And yes save for web can be evil too

Yeah, I've overlayed it and it's definitely bigger...

Is it really possible I've been viewing DPC at the wrong zoom all this time? So simple...Doy.

Are you using Firefox?
If so try going View->Zoom->Reset. Or press Control and - together
Once I was zoomed in slightly and couldn't figure out the problem and I was trying to get an image too look sharp for a long time. A day passed before I realized what was going on. lol

Ctrl + 0 resets.
Ctrl + - decreases size
Ctrl + + increases sice
So, vawendy, by pressing Ctrl + - you might've just decreased it from native, which is why you can't read it.

oh yeah oops, I was thinking zackdezon was just a zoom in too far so so Control+- would set him straight, sorry for the confusion. :)

Nope, just have lousy eyes, so I usually do a ctrl+ if I'm reading a lot of text. It's just funny that I forgot that I had done it and never set it back when voting. (I did a reset, not a ctrl-)

You'd probably hate my computer. I only have a laptop at my disposal, and it's got a 15.4 inch 1680 x 1050 screen. I was considering upgrading to the really high resolution screen when I got it but it would've delayed shipment, otherwise I might be in your situation myself.
