I'm not sure there are too many legit reasons why the 1DmkII would be a lot less than a 5DmkII. I'm not saying it's not real, but the lower the price, the more I'd put the old radar on alert. |
Last time I looked, a 5D mkII was about $2700.
I bought my 1DmkII used with 15K clicks for $1700 right after the 1DmkIII came out, 1DmkIIn's were going for a couple hundred more. In either case, I'd expect the used price for both cameras to drop, not rise. |
ya, I may be getting confused by all the versions and looked at one of the other ones... |
The 1Ds (Pro full frame) cameras are unlikely to be cheaper than a new 5DmkII. That's probably what you looked at. |
I bought my 1DsMKII with 5k clicks on it and like brand new for $1948 shipped to my house. :D

No, I haven't, because my previous camera was the 10D, which didn't accept EF-S lenses either, so, all of my leanses are full frame. |

Canon only has EF-S lens for 1.6 crop cameras. They won't physically mount to a 1 series camera. And I don't use third party lens anymore.

Thanks, I hadn't realized that EF-S couldn't physically mount to them, and had wrongly assumed it would be a similar effect to the Dx mode of the D3/D700. |
