I want to mount some of my photos (just 4x6) but I want to do it really really really cheap. No frame and all that. Just a mount to ...something? Not as flimsy as poster board I dont think but not expensive like matt board. Then what is the "best" and "cheapest" way to actually mount it? Is there a cheap glue you can get just about anywhere or do you have to use mounting spray? Can you actually use elmers glue for instance in a thin form?

PS: I will just be printing them from one of those Kodak machines in the stores.

Thanks!

What about foam board and using double stick permanent tape that is photo safe. That's what I've been using to mount and then frame but the foam board is stiffer than poster board and not too expensive. You could get started with an x-acto knife and blades for under $10.

Mmmmm that sounds pretty good. I think I can get the blades even cheaper by buying those that cut boxes and you can break off the tips? I might try that. How do you know the double stick is photo safe? Does it say so or is it a specialty thing?

Oooo and to they make a foam board that is not so thick? I have had trouble cutting through foam board before. Its pretty thick stuff and I dont want the edges to be all screwed up.

It says it on the package. Make sure you've got a good straight edge and very sharp blades. You might want to mount the picture first and then cut so you get the perfect size.
