It could have been handled better, but wasn't. I am pretty sure it was due to time pressures, and not "disrespect" for the members that it wasn't handled as well as it could have been, and problems and concerns have been addressed pretty promptly.
I think some respondents here have trouble looking past the tone of the post to see the valid content. |

And I thank you for that promptness! I didn't mean to imply that the Admins or Council would disrespect us intentionaly and didn't even bring up the respect issue. I was only responding...

I will admit that the wording of my original post could have been better and apologize for that. I have myself tried to end this conversation on a couple of occasions, but don't believe that I have to stand name calling or mockery.

I was sort of surprised/confused that there wasn't an official announcement, but I saw the note on the front page indicating the new rules for the NG challenge (excellent, simple new format, btw), so I thought it was quite clear. No harm, no foul.
Just a thought to maybe put it in perspective: If they had waited to make the announcement until today, and the NG challenge had proceeded with the classic rules, the title of this thread (started by someone else, of cours) would be "Why aren't the advanced rules in effect for the NG challenge!?!?!?" |

I had no problem noticing the rules change, even without an official announcement, or reading this rather amusing post.
I think the changes made my SC and the admins are fair, and well done. Thanks guys and gals!
