Does anyone on here using a D300 go lower than ISO 200?
What does LO 1, LO0.7 and LO0.3 actually mean? If it's ISO 100 why not just say so? |

This is just a guess, But I think LO 1 etc will make the camera remove any or some noise if detected when it is processing the picture. Like I said just a guess, but seems logical.

Effectively, low 0.3 is 1/3 of a stop lower than ISO 200, so ISO 160. Lo0.6 is ISO 125, and Lo 1 is ISO 100.
The noise between ISO 200 and 100 on this camera is really no different, so the only use for ISO100 would be to get a longer shutter for creative purposes. |

Yup, it's not truly an ISO of 100 or lower... the camera is just mimicking those ISOs to allow for longer shutter speeds, etc. You're not gaining any quality by using those settings. |

Well, the same could be said for any ISO different from ISO 200. I believe that 200 is the "native" ISO for the sensor used in the camera. Everything else is done in software. Isn't this correct? |
