oh thank you guys, yes it sucks, cos the score it had before it got DQ'd it was right up there on the front page.

But I used Free Transform on the whole image, didn't know you couldn't do it. So lesson learnt!

In round one you said it is determined by the average of "that" round if two challenges were not entered by the opponents.

For round 3 it just says its a straight knock out. Does that mean you only need one point and its over? If you need two still then can you tell me when round three ends for basssman7 and I. Is it at the end of March or not? I am not sure when we started.

basssman7 maybe you can help me out here to. Im a little confused.

I am under the idea that you still need two points for each round. If that is wrong then I would have played my game differently but by "straight knockout" I took it to mean you still need two points but that the averages wont count any more for high average players to come back. Not to mean that one point is all you need to win the round.

If I understood that wrong then I may have just cost myself the tournament with this horrendous abstract challenge and that would be a huge bummer afer all of my top ten or top fifteen finishes this month that both of us didnt enter. Because if basssman7 and I are ending our face off at the end of March and he takes the point for abstract then the last point will be based on his average (from round one?) instead of on my average for the month if averages even count at all this time. Neither basssman7 or myself want to win or lose based on averages so I need a little clarification here as to what is happening for this round for points needed. Maybe it wont matter if the month for us closes on the 1st anyway because he will have one point and I will not because he never entered the challenges I did but scored very high on. echhhhh. Now I am probably confusing everyone to. hahaha.

soulman was refering to the fact there would no more highest scoring losers going through!
before, if you lost there was still a chance you could qualify (as i did), but not anymore!

Hmmm. Reminds me of the blue challenge when I added a stupid buttonized frame. I didnt know what a vignette was until I was dqd for it. Sucks cause I had high 6s on that one. Dang I know that hurts.

Nevermind my previous post here because I just read on the knock out graphic website that it ends on April 3 for us. So that means I still have a good chance to pull out 2 points to beat the

I will be in one of the opens and it "will" beat yours. I have very little doubt about that. :=)

I am in the free study and plan to leave it there only if it matters for this h2h.

ETA: Hold it. There is still the next member challenge this Sunday and then there is still another set of opens to be announced on April 1st. We dont end round three till the 3rd.

Let me see if I have this right...and make you a proposal.

Lets say you get the point for abstract and I get the point for one of these opens. That gives us each a point. We need one more point.

Lets say you enter the FS but I pull out. That means you still wont have a point yet to win and neither will I. We are still even-steven.

What happens next is the juicer....

If you decide to not enter the next opens announced or the member challenge and I do then I will get no point by the 3rd and you will win on average alone which you say you would not want - right?

I do believe (but may have to get some verification on this) that as long as we are both in something by the 3rd then as long as its in progress our competition is still on. But I dont know if that is just for voting or entering?

If you do enter either one of the next opens or the member then I will to and we can definately win based on points and not averages.

So if I have that right then let me see if you are willing to either win by average or take a gamble with me by this proposal. You will most likely get the point on abstract. I think I am going to get the point on this set of opens. So are you willing to definately enter either one of the opens next week or the member challenge if I pull my free study shot? If you are then I am willing to make a pact with you that either one you decide to enter (member or opens) next week I will enter it to and let the best man win fairly.

Then if it "is" that we end on the 3rd because the "progress" means it has to be in voting and not just entering then I will just have to stay in this free study and (of all things) let this FS decide my fate.

I thought you understood I was trying to not have to be in the FS. If we wait till fauna/flora then the free study will already be in voting. Its ok if you dont want to commit tho. I will be in fauna and get that point. (hahha). Then we can just let the FS decide and be done with it. I hate FSs but at least I think I might do ok this time.

It is not that I am trying to be difficult or anything. However to be fair earlier in the month you were quite firm about not being pushed into entering any challenges that did not suit you. I am simply reserving the same rights for myself. :)

Nope...neither. I had too much homework the last two weeks. I was shooting today for Rock, when things went bad. I may be able shoot something for Flora/Fauna with my back-up. We'll see.
