OLED technology has been in the works for a while. It is indeed very cool. If you're more interested in how it all works you can read more about it here.

| Don't count on larger OLED displays overtaking LCD any time soon. There have been some implementations, most notably as LCD displays on a small number of digital cameras (I believe Kodak has used them). There are still some major technical hurdles before the cost, reliability and life issues are dealt with. |

| technologys still got a while to go, sony are releasing a walkman with a OLED screen they showed it off in vegas but noone even the people in charge of the stand could touch it! |
