Hey I made this poster for an advertisement on a board I have to put together at school this next week. DEX is a marketing group for college students to give us hands on experience, networking, and great fun. What do you think of my poster I made???

That looks great Jeremy, I think the text would look better curving under the bowl, super graphics,

The only thing that I can see that I dont like is the space between the bottom of the bowl and the lower text. Apart from that really nice work! |

very cool. I would have to agree that the text is off abit & also a little distracting from an otherwise cool shot.

Hey thanks for the suggestions. I went and pulled up the measuring tool and the lower text is centered. I've got to raise the lower text a little, my wife had told me the same thing. As for the fish surviving, I'm not sure. I got the image from istockphoto.com. You can get some royalty free images on there for a good price.
How far up should I put the text. |

Personally I think I would only move the text up slightly and move the fish bowl down? |

I'd move the bottom text up so that the distance between it and the bottom edge is the same as the distance between the top text and the top edge. Then, center the fishbowl between the two.
Nice job with the design. I like the text not being curved on the bottom; since it is an advertisement poster it is easier for people to read at a glance.

I think the reason the text looks off centre is because your eye is leading you to the lighter part of the graded background. I think it needs to be a little higher though.
