Quick, go get your camera.

Turn it on.
Check the date.

Is it correct???????

If not, please fix it.

Thank you. :-)

Should it be the same time as the server or my current time here in my timezone? :P

I checked mine and the date is correct but the time is fast by an hour...must not have compensated for Daylight Savings or end of it

Holy cow... Mine just says "00/00/0000". What the heck??? Anybody have a manual for a Coolpix 995? I had no idea all this time it wasn't registering ANY date...

It should be set to your local time zone (wherever you are taking the pictures). We will make the adjustment for the difference between local and server time.

I just found out last week that if you remove the battery from the 995 for long enough to recharge it, the date will be lost, even though Nikon sez there is an internal battery to retain the setting. =(

Mine is correct, but what does the small text mean below the date/time about sending Karma money? Must be a firmware glitch.

That must only be for Canon cameras. For Olympus owners it should say to send the money to me.

Hey, Kirbic -

So, do you know if there is there a way to reset the date every time you charge the battery? Can I just no longer enter challenges because my stupid date reads all zeros? Eeek!

First week of February I'm getting a Canon D60, so I guess the crisis will resolve itself, but I'm really surprised by this whole thing.

I normally don't run afoul of this, since I use two batteries, so one is always charged and I don't often lose the date. When I do, it's back to the menu and reset it manually. When you switch the camera to "A" mode, press the menu botton & it's the last item on the "setup" menu page.

Thank you so much! Big relief... I'm always in manual mode - it never occurred to me to look under the "A" settings. But I have two batteries, also - good idea to just always have one in there.
