Oh yeah, there we go. :-)

I prefer the first one. The closeness makes it look much more impressive. I also think the shot looks more balanced. I'd imagine the detail looks good too on a larger shot.

		| I prefer the second - I get a sense of the bucket brigade and the teamwork in putting the fire out |

Hehe true but the funny thing is that they are not trying to put the fire out :) They are througing a gasoline on the fire :) This is always done on 31. of december here in Iceland ... burn some stuff and fire a few fireworks.
This year they burned a boat here in Isafjordur (Small town on Westfjords).
There are a picture from this in the action challenge here on dpchallenge that some guy sent in ... don't know who :) |

I prefer the group shot. It seems extremely dramatic because it would be harder to get; more unusual to see.

My first impression when choosing wich is best, I like the second!
But always go with your own first impression and its what you like the most! They are both wonderfull pictures!

First one -- fills the frame, better composition due to no neg. space at top... more involved, more feeling :)

		| First one as well, the compostion makes the photo much more impactful. The second is just too loose to me. |

		| The first one, although if I was entering the second I would crop to just three guys. |
