Don't be disappointed in yourself. You competing in a international photo competition and helping celebrate this sites milestone.Thats a big achievement in itself.
My 14 year old son was too scared to enter because he didn't want to get a low score but really he is the losing by not entering, so your already one up on him. |

I knew I would get a low score when I entered. I just wanted to be a part of this challenge. Not only that, look at what we are up against!! I could never even dream of competing against most of these photos. Creative, talented, geniuses are everywhere!!!!!! |

Im stoked with every comment ive got so far i think in a challenge that i could have used my photo it would have done very well...but as everyone keeps saying...with every great comment the score goes down....lol |

Wow. People REALLY don't like my picture.
I had a 3.98 (if that's not low enough) and the score is DROPPING.
I must be getting lots of 1's, 2s and 3's!!! Is it really THAT bad???
I try to keep telling myself that at least I like my own image, but talk about kicking my dog while he's down! It's even harder when I get comments telling me about the parts of the image that people don't like - and these are the things I PURPOSELY did because I LIKE them that way. *sigh*

Don't let it get you down! Everyone's opinions are different, and if you happen to like your image for your own personal reasons, then that is good enough. |

Me three! I apologize now for any comments people don't like that I made. I just know that I really have grown from comments that people have given to me that point out what they don't like. Just realize that I am not all that creative so I may not understand the artistic aspect of your picture. Forgive me. |

Unbelieveble - The most comments I ever had in a challenge - Actually a Fav as well. 99% of the comments are good, but yet the score is crappy. At some stage I was below 5.

hrm. I am starting to feel a whole lot better about my 5.4. It's been that for a while now, so here's hoping it doesn't go too much below that. It's come up from a 5.1. Yay.

Man, that's just heartless. I didn't see anything that deserved a score that bad (except the brown attempts). Don't let it get you down, there can't be a person here who hasn't entered something they thought was aswesome and it got shot down. I know I sure have.

I am not a big believer in giving scores below 3. However I think as long as the comments are polite and not rude, you should be appreciative of the comments. Usually the issue is not getting enough comments to go with a low scoring image, so you are left wondering what people did not like about it. At least in this case you are being left clues as to why it is scoring the way it is.
In the end comments and scores are what they are...and it is up to you to decide how much value to place on them when it comes to your photography. |
