Can someone tell me if they are experiencing the same difficulty I am. I do not receive my challenge notification until the last day of entry.
Thanks for any input you can provide. |

do you mean when you submit the photo to the challenge you dont get the email that DPC got it until the day the challenge starts??
I have always gotten the email for my submission right away, within 1 to 2 minutes of the photo upload completion..
I wonder if some email servers are verifying its not spam related before relaying it on to people and its just taking a long time to get to get to some people.

| No, it's the weekly newsletter....I turned it off in my preferences because by the time it came I'd already submitted the shot for open... |

| What I am referring to is the notification that a Challenge is starting on a particular date. I am not receiving this information until the very last day and usually mid-day (I live in Canada EST). Hope this clears up any questions. |

| I don't believe the email you are receiving is intended to be a "challenge notification" email. If it is the email I'm thinking of, it is simply a "weekly newsletter" that covers recent winners, recent challenge announcements, etc. for those that don't regularly frequent the site. |

is this an option you checked in your preferences ? if so I do believe that is only to be notified of the speed challenges and those are very short.
I have that option checked in my preferences and have never received an email about a speed challenge

There are two check boxes, one for speed challenges and one for a "weekly update". I have not had either checked (I spend too much time here already). I just checked the "weekly update" box, we'll see what happens this weekend.

Weekly Update
Send me the weekly update, which includes: challenge winners, new challenges, and site news.
This option is check as ON
I used to receieve the information on about the start date of the challenges. I am wondering if someone in Admin of DPC has changed the mail serving date to the last day of challenges? Maybe someone directly involved with DPC admin could answer this question.
