Here's an idea:
Tell her you'll part with your first love (the A60)...
...and give it to HER.
Pretty soon, she'll be helping you add to your collection ;O)

Good idea!
Actually, that's how I got started with mine.

Small time.... I have a stack of bodies and lenses for various formats and trying HARD not to buy an old MF body & lens to play with. Some of those recent 35mm film bodies are just amazing fun but I love the earl 60's Yashica I inherited.... something about manually winding film and nothing with batteries.

One question. How many pairs of shoes does your wife have? If it out numbers your total camera count, Use it as a counter argument. It won't work but it might buy you some time to come up with a better argument.

Nah, you're not even close to having a problem.

I've got:

An oooold Pentax 35mm
An old HP PnS
Nikon N80
Nikon 8800
Nikon D70s
Nikon D300
Nikon D700
red Samsung L200

But my problem is camera bags. I've currently got 8, with two more that i want on my list. :D

If I had half as many cameras as she has pairs of shoes I could open a camera store. :)
Her problem with the film cameras is that she doesn't like the images I produce with them and since it costs money to develop the images she thinks its a waste. Personally I like to the look of black and white film images. I just have to learn how to develop them. Of course then I need to get a film scanner..

I have everything from Brownie to Polaroid to Practica to an old Rodenstock with film still in it, at LEAST 50 years old (the film, that is. The camera's a fair bit older).
Probably only about 12 in all, though. Not a large collection, and no Holgas :(

lol.. I love the shoe argument.... I agree it won't work but it might create enough confusion to delay the topic... besides, you could always escalate to purses or jackets :-)

Yeah film cost money and digital is free right... That's why I have 5Terrabytes of disc space accessible from this machine :-) Those film bodies are a fraction of the cost of digi bodies which pays for a lot of film.
