Hi, I just wanted to share my favorite HDR photographer that I have come across. He was the first photographer to have an HDR photo hung in the Smithsonian. Take a look at his blog site or look him up on Flickr. Fantastic, not over the top, HDR travel shots. This guy has litteraly been around the world.

Well, at first glance, I'd say a few are over the top... :-)
But I agree some are beautiful. I'll have to check them out more thoroughly when I have more time. |

There's a lot of good stuff there, but to me much of it is overdone. Many of his photos exhibit the cartoonish look IMO, but what sets them apart from most is the lack of halos seen in many of these shots. He seems to excel at capturing people; I couldn't take my eyes off the "bicycle repair shop" photo. |

He's really, really, REALLY good at what he does. I can see it's a love it or hate it thing, but dang he does it well!

HDR is very subjective. Some love it and some hate it. If you read into the blog you will find that he even thinks alot of his earlier work is over the top. His tutorial on HDR is the best I have read. And wouldn't it be awesome to travel to the places he does? |
