I want the glass to look more realistic. Basically I would like it to look like glass was there.

left ya a comment.

1) put in some reflections (photograph a window on the street to get feeling for what a realistic window reflection looks like, it's harder than one would guess)
2) as violinist suggested reduce the size of those water drops

cool overall concept!

Reducing the size of those drops will be no picnic. That is one of the biggest problems. I also agree with your reflection, but now I have to think about what reflection would be in that window. I am guessing it would be of the alley where I shot this.

I think the harder problem will be getting the reflection upside down in the drops. That is probably something that would really add to the shot.

How about this. Got rid of the larger drops and threw a street scene as a reflection.

don't you have it as a psd file or something so you can just change the size of the overlaying waterdrop layer? the reflection is not bad, but try to find more of a contrasting scene so you get like one part of the glass look like it reflects the sky or something...hard to explain, i'll go try to find an example...
i think the waterdrops don't have to reflect the reflection upsidedown as long as this is not going to be printed larger than 8x10 i think, because the water drops are too small to figure out any reflection in them (or just do it on the biggest drops if u wanna knock yourself out on it...lol).
and don't forget to fix the blownout highlights on their faces, they really do distract!

edit for typos

I used several images for the reflection. Seems to be working better. I did what you said and used a bike path image and some others to make it more realistic.

I cannot shrink the water drops. They were sized up so that they would work. I can shrink that layer, but I would have to build a new water drop image to get it to shrink.

Think about using real glass.

Then what would I have to edit?

Why do you want to?

Because it looks better than this:

And it is fun.

in this one...there is a bad reflection in the womans eye and cheek...it looks like her "make-up" is running...I like the first one best...no reflection of the street...as it isn't defined well enough

I see that. I will edit that out. I sort of like the reflections because it grunges up the image and makes up for some of the imperfections in my photography.

It isn't one of my best, but it was fun to make. I enjoy creating scenes. As you are editing you don't know where you are going to end up next. Everything just sort of happens.

Aw heck. I spent all that time on this shot, sent it to the band only to find out they got in a fight tonight and now one of the dude's isn't in the band anymore.

I can't say that it surprised me that much, but still that sort of sucks.

LOL that sucks indeed! :D
but that's band life you know, could be they're happily reunited again tomorrow...

i once did a promo shoot for this band

they were 8 members and they wanted me to shoot 6 of them at a time in every possible combination of the 8 guys just in case one of them drops out one day...

lol that is funny. That would be a sucky shoot to have to photo them in that many ways.

Usually the bands get some promo out of the photos before breaking up.

Here is my track record:

Broke up.

Broke up.

Broke up.

Broke up.

Broke up.

Still together.

Still together.

Solo Artist, Still Playing.
