Hey guys... no offense taken. I am just pi**ed about having to do the replacement thing cause it's wasting my time.

I agree, these are probably an old batch but IMO it's bad business to have bad hardware floating around - I would have it destroyed or refurbishment/fixed instead of risking the bad publicity. Yeah, the majority are probably correct - but IMO having more then a few issues like this in a single batch points to more then random chance.

Like I said, the recent reviews seem to show this is not an issue now but it certainly has been in the past. It's not that I was unaware... just expected that it was addressed going forward and should not be a current issue.

Hopefully you guys get one that works... and I am fairly sure that Pantone will address my specific issue.

Mine produced a slight magenta cast (in two computers) also. In-as-much-as it's a known issue, AND it was fairly plain from reading the forum and the item description (OEM packaging for a brand of camera), I thought there was a high likelihood that these were an old production batch, and accepted the chance that I'd be getting it replaced by Pantone. At this point, the price is still right.
I've submitted my request, and I'm expecting Pantone to make good on their product...

I bought one from Woot last week and it arrived yesterday ... calibrated today and noticed a very distinct sepia tone to everything ... apparently I got a bad one and will be sending it back!

A new one arrived on my door step a little ago (was the retail version).... Works great this time! This new monitor was pretty close - although a tad too bright and saturated out of the box which makes sense. The old monitor... well not so close :-) Great to see Pantone came thru....
