I have a meeting with the owner of a small, but well-to-do, real estate business tonight. She was turned on to my work through word of mouth, and I was told, quite excited to have me do something for her. I've seen her face and name on buses and billboards for years.
I'm not sure what she wants, heads shots of her and the agents who work for her? Full ad layouts? I'll find out.
How "interesting" does the real estate biz allow when it comes to advert head shots? All the shots I've seen have been regular, well-lit, portraits.
Do I dare suggest doing shots with more PoP?

Well, I can see some potential for unique business card portraits if the agents have a sense of humor...

On high end houses there is a market for high end photographs to market the house. Most houses in normal price ranges just get photos the real estate agent took with their point and shoot.
A friend of mine use to do the high end shots when the real estate market was hot. Made pretty good coin for taking good quality shots of fancy houses. |

Yup, that's what I'd guess they're after. Probably saw some of your HDR work and visualized that effect on high-end houses. When I had the architectural photography business we mostly worked for Architects and Interior Designers, with a strong commercial clientele among hotels and developers, but a couple times a year we actually worked for Realtors who were marketing a very high-end residential property. Got paid well by them, too :-)
