Well, unfortunately the weekend had to come to an end. I only took just shy of 1500 photos for the weekend. Got some great ones but still have to sort through them. Met some generous folks wandering around the streets and had fun with LEOs. One of the LEOs came up to me and said "Show me the photos so I know which ones to tell you to delete", I informed I would be happy to show him but that I wouldn't delete any since I am on a public street. He started smiling and explained he likes foolin' with folks.
We went to Lake Bistineau Sat morning, street photography in the afternoon and the parade was just at and after dark. Sunday we hit a parade and had excellent lighting so I got some great shots. I may do a pictorial short story soon.
The weather was much better than last year, but didn't have any fog for the lake.
Had a great time spending time with Kat, James and of course Marge.
Now we have to set up a GTG in the DFW area so we do the traveling! |

A few of the pictures from the GTG.
We started out Friday night shooting a refinery. We couldn't get downtown since they had all the parking lots blocked off for the parade the next day.
 
The next morning we went to Lake Bistineau and shot some and then just drove around. Here's a couple I got:
