So far the stuff I've heard rumored:

Sony A800
Fuji S6 (could be cool if it has the interesting EXR sensor...)
Oly u4/3 platform
Canon 17-40 f/4L revision
Canon 15-70 f/4 (or 15-80 or 15-60 lol, whether it's FF or DX I'm not sure)
Nikon D40 successor (only from CRockwell though)

So far nothing really "solid" from Nikon... :(

I doubt Canon would release a 15-60 or 15-80 for cropped sensor models because it already has the 17-55/2.8.

However I would like see a smaller, lighter competitor to the 24-70/2.8, maybe 15-80 f4/L or something like that. They only problem I see with this lens if it is too much like the 24-105. We'll see.

I don't see why they'd release the D300 and then less than a year later replace it with a more advanced entry. The D700 doesn't really count because it brought the FF sensor to the plate. Hmmm...

Also a 15-80 f/4 for cropped sensors would fill an entirely different slot than the 17-55 f/2.8, and likely be much cheaper brand new.

i think they want a sony contender
low feature/ slow / high mpix
the've hurt themselves pricing the D3x so high
likely a 4k$ type of camera ..

Wouldn't they just call it the D700x?

I agree, I think perhaps a K3D is the next logical model, 20megapixel FF DSLR.

So it does look like there are no (ETA:) DSLR body (/ETA) announcements from Nikon this PMA. Meaning? D300 will keep selling at around its current price for an year more?

OTOH, DSLR sales jumped about 28% in Germany alone in 2008 as I read in one of the reports here (scroll all the way down). Isnt someone doing good now?? :-)

And here is a small poll's current results, sharing just for fun, from pma-show.com:

Which camera brand do you own?

33%: Nikon
31%: Canon
15% Other
13%: Olympus
5%: Pansonic
4%: Fujifilm

I thought they already announced a new DX lens, 35mm F1.8 as well as a couple of new Coolpix cameras including the 24x P90. In addition in the last announcement I read on DPReview they stated there are likely more DX primes to come.

Oops. I should have said new DSLR announcements.
