Do you know of any website that keeps track of changing camera (body/kit) prices over time? More like how prices drop/rise with a time of the year and as new models emerge??
E.g. I found one here. But it only tracked prices starting Jan 2009.
Ok I found another one here.
Would still appreciate other inputs.

Better act quick.... there are only 2 more at that great price of $2,399.00 available at Amazon.
Better yet! Buy it with a 1 GB Sandisk Ultra II SD card for the low low price of $2,406.50! |

Interesting links. They confirm what I've experienced that the D300 has for some reason gone up in price. I had seen it at B&H for $1469 in mid January, but now it's $1600. Amazon also has been going higher. |

That sucks!
I'm looking to upgrade from my D70s as I've been getting requests for realy large images that 6.1 MP doesn't stand up to.....and I want a D300.

I received this email from my local camera shop back in January.
Sadly, on February 1st Nikon is enacting something extremely rare, a price increase due to the rising costs of raw materials and shipping. They held off on doing this for as long as they could, but costs are what they are and unfortunately the seemingly endless river of Nikon Instant Savings offers may be coming to an end for the time being. This is frustrating news to us all, but on the upside it means that if you were looking to buy a Nikon camera or lens, now is the time! You still have 'til the end of the month to take advantage of current Nikon prices and Instant Savings! We have a wide selection of point & shoots, DSLRs and lenses in stock - come in this week to snag something for yourself before the prices go up! Additionally, you may have seen in our email alert last week, there are several instant savings opportunities for Nikon products. These instant savings expire on January 31st, so this week is the best possible time for you to make a money-saving purchase. Naturally, we will continue to carry our full line of Nikon product for many years to come, so if you decide down the road that a Nikon is for you we will have them all available at current (and extremely competitive) prices.
Seems everything Nikon went up a bit. |

Check Pricespider.com For the D300 body only August price was $1650. Novemver low of just under $1500. January and February its leveled off at $1700. I use this site quite often. Cameras aren't the only product to fluctuate in price.
