Like it's namesake, there's a Grumman seaplane named for it.....large, cumbersome, and doesn't fly all that well.

Some, like the Trichinella spiralis worm, have to be eaten to complete their lifecycle. I doubt they have much emotionally invested in the process, but its important to their species' survival.

Ah, yes. Perhaps I cannot tell first hand,
what an egret might prefer,
but we all have our little fantasies,
and that happens to be one of mine.
Egrets can be photographed close up.
this one was within the range of a few feet in a nesting site:
