This story will get to you, no matter what you're made of.
Don't know if it's already may it's way around, but I just read it for the first time a few minutes ago. Had to share.
...a rare act of sportsmanship
Being a Scout leader, I'm printing a copy of this to hang onto for that right moment to share with the boys. |

Thank you for that. A sad story with a very inspiring gesture.

Very touching story. I'm surprised I hadn't heard anything about it since I pretty much live in DeKalb. |

I heard this story on the news last night (or the night before?) -- it brought tears to my eyes. Some good news from central Illinois. |

That is an incredibly touching story. Especially poignant for us; my wife attended Milwaukee Madison in the late 1970's. |

That truly is a very touching story. Now excuse me while I go searching for some tissue.

These are the stories that should make the news...(ESPN) Not the junk they keep talking about. When I was a kid sports kept me focused and out of trouble. Today I wonder if it's even worth introducing my children to sports. This is a great story of how sports heals and helps. Thanks for the post. |

Lovely stories, the news should do more on these stories of hope, bravery, compassion a little more often. This is what makes the world a better place and gives up all hope and reason to reach out a little more to do good things |
