I just got a a zone plate made out of a body cap for my Oly E-410. First shot, nothing fancy, but this concept is so cool! Something primitive about it. In fact, I am just amazed at the result without any fancy glass on my camera. No doubt a number of you have discovered zoneplates and pinholes, but its kind of a thrill for me. This could be fun...

I'm in the discovery stages of this myself. Pinhole especially, but I want to do it with film first. Maybe I'm crazy. Apparently you can make pinhole cameras with Altoids cans. I have a bag of them at work. Itching to try it.
If Lensbaby is your thing, check out the optics kit which has pinhole, zone plate and plastic optics. |

Friday night and I'm playing with my zone plate. Kids are out and it's quiet. Nice! Anyway, I'm still taken with the idea of photography without a lens.

I see you're an Olympus user. Where'd you get your zone plate? Do you have a pinhole? |
