ok, once mastered this must be really simple, I'm using PuTTy and can happily zip/unzip and move files on my website server and want to upload/download files to and from the server.
So, I'm logged on to *my host* and sitting at my public_html folder and want to upload a zip file from my pc to the host server, can someone give me an idiots guide to the syntax? I'm really lost as to where my pc file is, ok, its at C:/users/somemadeupname/somefile.zip and going to *myhost*/public_html/somedirectory but how do I find out the full path to somefile.zip?
Any help would be much appreciated techie folks. |

pscp ? (puttySecureCoPy ?)
pscp fred@example.com:/etc/hosts c:\temp\example-hosts.txt
or
pscp c:\documents\foo.txt fred@example.com:/tmp/foo
