Read the details on the challenge. Text IS allowed on the image.
Just wanted to clear that up before people start voting down images with text on them.

I'm going to vote down images with text on them because I think it's tacky, not because it's against the rules. Text on image = 1.
coughI'm kiddingcough.

That's ok, because I disagree with your voting, so I'm going to vote 10 on images with text, and 1 on images without.. ;-)))

"As seen in many offices/work places. Your title should be the motivational phrase."
Then in the additional rules it says that the only thing you can not do is add text. So, can I get more clarification where it sayd in the rules that text IS allowed?
"Specifically, the only thing you may not do to your photograph during post-shot editing is add text (including copyright statements.)"
Not disagreeing just wanna see where it says you can b4 I actually go ahead & do it.

Slightly further down:
"Extra Rules:The December Member Rule Set is in effect for this challenge. Additionally, text is allowed on your submission for this challenge."

You might want to hit your "refresh" button. Adding text was later added to the rules.

It is on the submission page under the extra rules:
Challenge Details: As seen in many offices/work places. Your title should be the motivational phrase.
Challenge Type: Members Challenge
Extra Rules: The December Member Rule Set is in effect for this challenge. Additionally, text is allowed on your submission for this challenge. |

The motivation poster framing style only looks good when you add text to it.

I dislike that the title HAS to be the motivational phrase. It means the phrase, if you use text on the photo, has to appear twice.
I would have rather used the phrase on the poster and had a one word, or at least very simple, title.

I agree. I actually didn't have the whole entire phrase in the title, but went back and added it, just so nobody would vote me down for it. :-/

I think this would've been a good challenge for the whole month. It gives everybody a chance to take a really good picture, instead of a slightly rushed one.

Has anyone ever thought that the the quote may be longer than the space alotted for normal titles? This means that some people won't be bale to put the whole quote in the title.
Just a thought

Yup!
Mine fits according to what I can type in ..... I have no idea at all if it will all actually show, and it is going to look really dicky if it doesn't.
The title I want to use is one word, then the text on the photo, but like cbeller I think there would be people who would vote down as technically it did not meet the rules.
I am not going to be a happy bunny if you now get caught out trying to add the technically correct by the rules title.

I'm really angry now because i did not see the extra rule added to the challenge!!! I would have had a great entry..damn damn damn!
I think if extra rules are added to an already extra rule challenge, it should be specified on the home page.. damn it!
I will be ok someday :-(

I agree 100% with Shutterfly. I think the council should give special awards those who submitted images without text. ;-)
