you could see if they make any shapes with their black or white spots when you put them next to eachother (like hearts) |

Lots of great ideas. Maybe black and white cat(s) in the snow... that should prove interesting. |

My pets are all camera shy and tend not to sit still. this should be challenging : ) |

I know! *sniffle* I've never been as tempted to enter an out of date photo. I had a nice photoshoot around 2 weeks ago. Won't do that though.
I just found and charged up my little point and shoot. It's not good indoors and it's dark outside now but I'm going to try to cook something up. |

What are your oppinions? Does it have to be a still photograph to classify as a portrait in this challenge? |

I was wondering about the still vs moving myself.
Here's what wikipedia said
A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer. |
