oh yay! that 70-200 is so much freaking fun. very heavy, but the f/2.8 makes it well worth it

He's lucky that you are honest.

Left it with no signature...? Lesser mortals might have kept the package and asked for a refund when the package "didn't show". I had a camera dropped off behind the bushes out front once. $1,200 camera and they just left it. Contrary to the advice of a not so honest friend, I did not claim it missing; but he sure would have.

About a month ago My wife informs me that this was nearly 3 months ago, I spent 5 minutes chewing out the UPS driver that delivered my wifes sewing machine, which was being replaced by the manufacture, they were sending a return label so we could send the faulty machine back to them, I was told I would have to sign for the package by the company rep that handled our issue. Anyway The UPS Driver set the box down on our front step in a puddle of water and slush and took off back to his truck. I ran to the door and yelled for him to come back. I asked him if he needed my sig. He said he didn't believe so, I said do you mean you don't know or you are sure? He then thought about it for a minute and said he was sure. I told him I was pretty sure a sig would be required but he assured me it was not. Then I asked him why he put the package down in the puddle of water vs knocking on my door and handing it to me in person. He said that he is not required to do that if a sig is not needed. So I laid into him about how water and electronics do not work well together and complained about the numerous times UPS has done the same thing with other packages after a couple of minutes I dropped it and told him to get back to work. :) later that day I went to the local UPS depot to ship the old machine back and reqested to see a copy of my delivery and sure enough a sig was required, The manager asked me to sign then, but I refused, I said if you want my sig you need to send that driver back to my house to get it like he was supposed to do in the first place. So I can have the pleasure of saying I told you so. Unfortunately he never showed up. I have noticed lately that each time the Big Brown Truck is on our street it now has a pretty girl driving it. Hopefully she will be less careless with my stuff.

Congrats on the new glass btw.

Sandy owns the 70-200 f/4L IS page. Alex Saberi owns the 70-200mm f/4L page...
