I hope you guys can help me out. I have a Nikon Coolpix 8700 (I know, not even SLR), which I equally love and despise, but it needs some TLC. It's several years old and requires some professional cleaning and tightening. Anyone know if that can be done at a repair shop or does it have to go to Nikon? And if a shop can do it, is there one in Los Angeles (if you're from the area) that you would recommend?

I'm saving up for my first SLR, but I just can't do it yet :-(
