I'm doing a bit of Googling to see what my options are to hook my camera up to my basic stereoscopic (or dissecting) microscope. Anybody have the answer already? I'm not coming across much. |

I'd first try a large medical/scientific supplier (VWR maybe?), or maybe ask someone in the anatomy dept. of the nearest medical school, or maybe the pathology lab at a large hospital. |

Thanks, that's gotten me somewhere at least. A company named Motic may make something I need. I have a call into them because their catalog doesn't describe things very well. |

Thanks, I have a few emails in. It looks like I found the one rodneyg mentioned for $150. I wish I could see what kind of quality you get out of them. |

maybe they make an adapter . |

as for quality, I can offer this as an example
DOF is exceedingly shallow and can take some fiddling to get what you want.
I am fortunate in having a significant other who was once a geology grad student, so I inherited the microscope complete with camera adapter ring, so I don't know how to advise you as to cost. |

If you still have a need, you might try //www.microscope.com/microscope-camera-adapters-c-12.html. If that doesn't work out, and you have a t-adapter for your camera, I might be able to help. I recently made two adapters, one for Bausch&Lomb and one for a Leitz. Both of these use slip in eye pieces. Let me know.
edited to add: congrats on your free study entry.

This looks like it's taken with an eyepiece adaptor. It's better to use a C-mount, if your microscope has the opening on top?
