I have always wanted to try my hand at macro work and just now noticed the price on this lens....can any owners tell me how you feel about it?

| I don't know about the 50mm, but I have the 100mm and it's wonderful fun! So incredibly clear that I use it instead of my zoom in many cases (where I want really clear shots) |
