So I know I can't possibly be the only person here who is in college, or taking college classes, or whatever....so what are you taking this semester??

My spring semester has just started today...I'm taking:

ΓΆ€ΒΆ Drawing 1
ΓΆ€ΒΆ Critical Approach to Literature
ΓΆ€ΒΆ Biblical Literature 1
ΓΆ€ΒΆ Hebrew 2
ΓΆ€ΒΆ Photography 1

I'm going to be a busy busy beaver this semester...but I bet it'll be really fun! Really looking forward to my photo class -- I've wandered into the Prof's office on various occasions and was like "hey, look at my website!" and he seemed pretty impressed by my work. Drawing 1 I've had already today -- YAY 8:00's....heh -- and it was a blast -- I can't draw, but this guy is super great. I'm sure it won't matter that much.

ARTH492 - Contemporary Art History
PSYC102 - Psychology
ARTD370 - 2D Animation
HIST470 - History of Asia and America
ARTD466 - Intermedia Arts

Yeah, kinda all over the place this semester. I'm only taking the psych class because I missed a gen ed back in the day (oops). Taking an intensive art history course with a regular history course is a bad idea. I don't think I can keep up with all of the readings, plus work on my animations, plus study for all 20 psych tests/quizzes/studies, plus organize and design an installation art show. I need a vacation.

Oh dear. The dreaded DiffEQ. I had that at 8 in the morning, which is just downright cruel! Have fun with it.

My schedule the term I took Diff EQ's:
1: Diff EQ (4 credits)
2: Thermodynamics II (3 credits)
3: Solid Mechanics (3 credits)
4: Measurement Systems (4 credits)
5: Dynamics (3 credits)

No fluff classes there. It sucked big time. I got through it, but exams were Hell.

Best of luck. Pay attention. Study hard.

I'll just let you know that after 10 years of working as an engineer, I have used Diff EQ's on numerous occasions. Mostly to create simple models to confirm the performance of mechanical systems. Yes, I know that computer analysis has far greater capability than a numerical model, but, sometimes those resources are scarce, non-existent or backlogged, so you bust out the Diff Eq book and get busy.

I did my gen ed psych over january term (Taylor does this schedule where we just take one class during january). I did it with the prof that usually does Lifespan and that type of class -- he has a reputation as the hardest prof on campus. It was not a piece of cake...

Spring term just started today...I have a page of hands and a drawing from a book for Drawing 1, 17 verses of Hebrew to translate and the paradigms to relearn, thirty pages of notes on the Hebrew Bible to read, and an essay to read for Crit Lit. I haven't even been to Photo yet. I think I'm going to die this semester.

I haven't drawn in a few years...heh heh heh. We had to do contour line drawings of each other in class today. They didn't turn out too well...funny though! I love the prof from that class, he's a great guy. Has eight kids, newest is 2 weeks old...

We haven't really done anything photography-wise in class yet...went to hear Sam Abell speak, that was really cool!!

I have a love/hate relationship with all my other classes...drawing 1 is amazing, but SO HARD! Crit Lit is fascinating subject matter, but the teacher is boring; Hebrew 2, I love the people in my class, but I'm not a huge fan of the class; Bib Lit is a LOT of reading.
