So, I've spent all day trying to get myself to start on my schoolwork. I have to animate a ball bouncing (yay.), I finished my history bibliography, and now I'm trying to write my lecture review on the fluxus art movement. In all honesty, I don't really know that much about contemporary art (I'm more of an Etruscan, Roman, and Greek art history guy) and this class, like contemporary art, is very concept driven. I just now realized that my notes are quite disjointed and I have all of these seemingly random points written down but I can't for the life of me remember how they were all connected. While I was in the lecture hall, this all made perfect sense and I was already writing the review in my head. But now, several days later, I've lost it all. The professor is quite specific about wording and a simple word mix up will result in her declaring that your entire statement is false... which is fair enough but generally people understand what point someone is trying to get across.
Last time I tried to fill in the blanks of my notes in the review, it didn't turn out so well. She crossed off a bunch of my statements. So, now I'm sitting here listening to music while my roommate plays video games in the other room and I'm trying to get myself back to my light table to continue working (in vain) to finish my animation by tonight.
