Recently i read about STARBURST FILTERS. Does anybody have any photo so that we'll be able to understand how we will get the output. If anybody has one, please post it here! |

A past blue ribbon, which I presume used a starburst filter:
One of mine, which used an in-camera star filter:

don't forget you can get them in 4 and 6-point, and i think you might even be able to find an 8-point filter. they're pretty cool for fun effects, and usually are pretty cheap. i got mine for like 12 dollars.

The first photo posted by sleekr was prolly done without a filter. It was shot with a 5 second exposure at f/5. The f/5 aperture is small enough to give this effect on point light sources.
you ned a tripod for this, since the exposure times are usually quite long. A lens with a slightly non-circular aperture works best, and the number of points will be determined by the number of aperture blades.
