I'm not sure I fully understand the random use of uppercase here as my understanding is that it is the internet norm to represent shouting; but on the understanding that what you say regarding SC expectation is correct, who decides which thread should prevail?

#1, ALL CAPS IN THE ENTIRE COMMENT, would be shouting. SELECTIVE use of all caps is a proper means of emphasis. Egads you're just in an argumentative mood.

#2, Common sense says that the first thread created is the thread that stands. Go to Walmart and buy some common sense and the reply.

I am laughing...
The truth is I am not remotely serious about any of this but simply enjoying the banter.

By the way the expresion is correct not proper lol

This is ridiculous. It might be better after all if the powers that be on this site initiate an automatic scores thread as soon as voting starts. That will solve the problem.
I also notice that both Connor and Lutchenko are new members who joined in October 2008 and already are upsetting a system that has worked all these years without a problem. They are also father and son and looks to me like they just decided to ride roughshot over everyone here without consulting.
OK...I'm also new here but I wouldn't dream of starting something like this on my own initiative without first consulting with other members and I think it's foolhardy to try and buck the system and upset everyone by starting your own scores thread. Kind of rude as well in a way. Like just barging in and start taking over the show. One scores thread will suffice.

Hey if you read the posts in more detail you would see that I stated that I am not being serious, but your last comment I now find offensive, and the fact that you choose to accuse a 13 year old child of upsetting the system I find deeply disturbing

Just so you know I have reported you for an actual transgression of the rules of the site by making a personal attack on myself and my son

That's fine Lutchenko. Do your thing. But it's you who's rude with your aggressive attitude and it's you who is doing the attacking. There was no trouble here until you decided to ride roughshot over everybody and push your score threads even though there were already other scores threads. And then you came with ludicrous reasons for justifying them. And I did not accuse your son but addressed you as father and son without singling out your son and you being the father are the responsible one. As for accusing....I must have touched a raw nerve as I never actually accused you of anything. I just stated that it's kinda rude to just come onto a forum as a new member and just start your own scores threads without consulting anyone and then when people point out to you that there are already other scores threads you come with ridiculous arguments as to why there is no reason not to have 2 scores threads.

The rules of the site are clear, and following a transgression I feel that I should no longer engage in the discussion.

Feel free my friend. Do what your heart tells you. And please refrain from addressing me as "HEY" That's fodder for horses.

Actually, no it isn't. :) That's the problem. But thanks for butting in (again).

I was resisting that comment lol, but now it does appear to be a Michael Jackson thread so maybe we could take it
in a different direction.

Hey Juliet

Personally I really enjoy cross cultural discussions on the forums, but of course
never intend to give offence.

You have to understand Lut, that there are many people from all over the world here. Translation into the written word can lose it sense of humour or come across as harsh and unreasonable or even argumentative when you are not even meaning to be.

You do not have to 'fit' in with anyone here, you can be someone that stands alone agaisnt the incoming tide if you wanted. There are many people that do and will.

But also remember to take in words of advice from people that have been here longer and may know what ticks and what bombs. Whether you take on board any of that advice is up to you.

But on here, we all tend to lean on one another, we share, we laugh, we cry, we help, we argue, we tutor, we lend support, it truly is a family that is created here, which is very very rare on the Web these days

seems this thread title is a duplicate and the thread itself has worked its way to a conclusion. I am locking this.
