This may not be the best place to ask but this site usually gets a great deal of responses.

I have been using Lightroom 1 but created an alias so that when I copied images to the computer, it actually copied it to my external hard drive. Then I backed that stuff up along with my main machine onto a 2nd external hard drive.

So Time Machine's stored files are on the third drive (external), my images are on the 2nd drive (external), and the software is on my main imac drive obviously.

Now my machine holding all the images is on the fritz. I can get the Disk Utility to see it but I want to restore it to my most recent Time Machine backup. Currently, my startup disk is the OSX install and I'm in Disk Utiltiy - I'm not 100% sure how to restore that 2nd drive back to it's most recent version.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use the Leopard Disc that came with your Mac to boot up with (Can hold C) when booting if unable to go to System Preferences and change the startup disc). You are then able to use Time Machine to Restore back to where you wanted, by going under Utilities at the top. After rereading your post you wouldn't need to dothis one. It would restore your OSX disc back to were you wanted
To restore your 2nd disc you would need to go into the TIme Machine Program (start by having the Folder/drive where your images are already-guess that could be the alias to the other) opened. Open the program, go back to the date you want, and you should be able to restore from there. You may have to drag and drop those files/folder onto the 2nd drive though.
