Went up the Big Thompson Canyon to spread my dogs ashes in RMNP. Great sunrise (lost shots because of messed up RAW file translation), then back down the canyon remembered the Water challenge. An hour and a half of lying belly down on the ice. 10 degree F weather, and in the shade. Hanging over the rocks and ice, stretched over the water to get this one. Oh yeah...cold enough the leg on my NEW Slik Pro tripod broke off! And only the Nikon 5700 sitting on it. Yeah for warranty. Still waiting for something in the camera to go haywire, after hitting the ice (about 18" fall)

My highest rated shots are always, right place at the right time. I don't like setting up shots, anyway. I just get lucky. But then again, always out somewhere in CO wilderness, it is hard to not be in the right place. (C:
