How about this zoomable gigapan panoramic of the inauguration. Try zooming in on faces...

Look just above Pres. Bush about 4 rows towards the top of the picture.
What is with the floating hat? Is Aretha Franklin photoshopped into the picture?

i think that is a stitch... look about 3 or 4 seats to the left of ms franklin and there is a man with a severed head

Either way PS or Stitched, the Secret Service did a pretty good job.;)

Under $300 for the gizmo ... I just don't have a computer which will handle the software.

However, I do have Autostitch, which will do an amazingly good job at stitching even imperfectly aligned/overlapped images.

That gigapan thing seems to do all the work except it needs somebody to take it to the event and of course press the start button. How long before there won't be any need for a human reportage photographer?
