So who are the flashers with their flashlights and laser pointers?
12/23/2003 12:27:57 PM · #27
Subjectivless - Someone who's best photo of the week is their entry regardless of it's lack of connection with the subject. (art over conformity)

Subjectivist - Someone who's photo stays on the challenge subject to the exclusion of any hint of artistic merit. (conformity over art)

Oops. I think that might be me.

And I guess streakers are those who specialize in those panning shots of birds with a blurred background ...

analiteralist - (anal - literalist) - Those people who are absolutely convinced that there is no other possible interpretation for the challenge topic than the one they have in their mind. Everyone else gets a 1.

I would apply this more particularly to those who insist on using the on-board flash in macro shots.

OK...Let's talk about the com-mentally unstable. You know the ones that fly off the handle if they recieve any comment that in any way implies that their photo is NOT PERFECT! (It's NOT??? I'm gonna start a forum thread and prove that a%%h0le is WRONG!)

moronphotographer better known as mopho

A person that starts a thread to try to convince people to give lower scores to certain subjects or types of photography. Especially if they're talking about your picture.

Photonomous: Registering under a false name just to leave bitchy unconstructive comments anonymously

Felinophobe: Someone who gives a 1 to a cat photo even if it does actually happen to meet the challenge

Forumoholic: Someone who just has to comment on every thread they can manage

Wait, wait I got it....titleist you know the one, only part of their picture that meets the challenge is the title!!!

shutter-trippers - People who refuse to even consider the possibility that photography is more than just pushing the shutter release on your camera. These are the people who apparently don't know that even when you drop off your film at the drug store, the developing process involves the darkroom. They think that your picture is better if it's not the best you can make it by using the digital darkroom.

Shall I go on?

Faceoffal - the description of a relentless self-portrait collection despite the artist's striking resemblance to the rear end of a bus

Macrotony - the tedious specialism of photographing things incredibly close up for no apparent reason

Streakfreak - someone who is obsessed with long-exposure traffic shots (yes, I'm one)

Statistiosis - a frightening disease symptomised by the pointless use of mathematics to calculate the score given by the last voter

LenticuLoser - someone who shamelessly copies the now infamous 'lenticular-beads-of-water-on-glass-refracting-an-image-below' technique

Gifsnatcher - an irritating, enigmatic newbie who sweeps into DPChallenge, wins a blue ribbon and is never seen or heard of again
12/23/2003 09:35:40 PM · #48
What about the Newbiecued Gifsnatcher?

I don't know, I can't remember the last time a lady flashed me...I'd probably fall over from the shock...
