Do you use a photo editing or photo organizing program such as photoshop, lightroom, picasa, gimp, aperture or paint shop?

If you are lucky enough to still be using XP, go to the XP powertoys page and download the picture resizer tool.
It is VERY easy, quick, and very good.

I have had to change to Vista and I miss my resizer desperately!!!

Edited to add this link: XP Powertoys

Oh Charlie, if you download the resizer, let me introduce you to a little secret:

the very first time I tried to use it (after installation), I searched high and low for the darn program and couldn't find it.

What happens is that you simply right click on an image file, and the resizer shows up as an option in the menu.

LOL Karin I was starting to do that then I thought to right click but.....I cant see anything! I have some images already in an email and there is no resize option when I right click on them. When I looked in the images in their files and right click there was an resize picture option but it didn't seem to work sigh....

Well, yes you do have to resize them before you attach them, but I haven't found anything else as quick and handy as that program!
I can't believe Microsoft still doesn't have one for Vista ! Gggggggrrrrrrrrrr!!

Anyhow, I'm glad you have it all figured out now :-)

Download the new Windows E-mail program Windows Live mail, and it has the option to resize them automatically for you. Its in the options for attaching photos.

Picasa will also automatically resize them for email.
