I notice that there are now 4 ansell adams "score" threads running at the same time and 3 "Glasses" score threads. Why doesn't everyone just start their own "Score" thread for every challenge they entered. That would make it even more confusing and chaotic.

Yeah... someone got the bright idea to start threads several days ago and then I started the ones I normally do (as requested)... if the SC wants to lock down all but the first ones started, then cool. |

I think it's quite silly to start a scores thread days before rollover. Silly. |

Indeed.... I suspect it's because they wanted a shot at hosting a thread... and if that's the case, the people who normally start the threads/want to start the threads should discuss together and maybe share out the hosting... if they like doing it so much. |

I with Dain on this one, I can't recall seeing the thread requesting that you start the score threads.

i can see the need for a thread to complain / brag about scores, this is a competetion based site after all.
it's just that i cringe everytime when i read the title of these threads.
can one be generated automatically at rollover, like for the 'outtakes'???

For every rare complaint like this one, I've read many more thanks for the witty titles... Many times I've waited until well after rollover in order to give someone else a chance.
But cool. I'll start no more. |

no offence was meant.
this is a thread to discuss the triplication of scoring threads.
i offered a solution.
and for the record, i was cringing at some of the titles of these kinds of threads long before you took over the reigns!

Maybe the score threads should be auto-generated by the site. As soon as voting starts, POOF, there it is.

I could only find two Ansel score threads. One is now locked, the other is some odd variety... so where are they? |

this makes much more sense.. I can't see starting a thread three days in advance unless someone just wants attention.. memememe lol |

I wondered when this thread was going to appear. There is a clear revolution to take back the score threads. ;) Most of Kevin's titles were funny. In general, this seems like a tiny issue to be bickering about.

I think other people started the threads cos they wanted a shot at titling a challenge for once.
No offense Hawk, but you re the Irene of Scores Threads
and I agree with the site making the score thread that way, no bickering |

Even 2 is 1 too many ( None are locked. There are 2 live "ansel adams" score threads currently running.
Currently 3 "glasses" scores
Point is ..only one score thread for any particular challenge is needed. I am not going to follow or participate in 2 or 3 score threads for the same challenge at the same time. Then I rather just ignore all of them and not participate in any at all. I could of course start a score thread all of my own too.
I enjoyed the threads started by Hawkeyelonewolf.
Maybe the best solution would be if score threads were automaticly generated as some have suggested.

I'm shocked anyone was bickering about it or felt the need to start a thread days early just to get one in. I started one like 10 minutes early one time months ago and got jumped on for starting it too early. But I would have thought that if they did, they would have AT LEAST used some creativity in titling it (as was the site tradition)... In fact others have started humourously titled threads a few hours early and that was cool. But just "Subject scores here" is rather bland.
As for comparing me to Irene, I take that as a compliment since her shots are so wonderful (and I'll never be compared to her in the photography category).

Vote in a site firing squad to take care of the next person to abuse CAPS in their score thread title and I'd be content with leaving the creation of such threads to the masses.
Not DIRECTED AT anyone in particular. HAWKEYELONEWOLF. |

Step 1. See dog down.
Step 2. Kick it.
Repeat as necessary. |

As a side note that I haven't seen mentioned yet, the first bizarre score threads that appeared days ago were created by Connor. He appears to be a 13 year old who's native tongue is not English. I would imagine he wasn't trying to step on any toes or cause extra confusion or be silly. |

No one has to worry about me trying to start a score thread!
My scores have been so low lately that the only words that come to mind would mean that the thread title would have to be banned! ;-) |
